I started with Tecala in 2012 as an Administration Assistant, and in 2017, I started my position as Executive Assistant to Managing Director, Pieter DeGunst.

I enjoy supporting strategic thinkers and thrive on challenges and assisting business solution evolutions. I am passionate about personal development and leadership.

Leaving school, I remember being the only female in my IT Support Certificate 2 VET Course and my teacher told me I would not have a career in the IT industry. Eighteen years on I’m still here (mic drop). I joined Tecala in 2012 as an Administration Assistant and in 2017 I started my position as Executive Assistant to Managing Director Pieter DeGunst.

In high school I was always interested in what technology could do for the world. At Tecala I have the opportunity to work with innovative leaders in the IT industry. Fulfilling my passion for technology and the enjoyment I get from supporting strategic thinkers, thriving on challenges and assisting business solution evolutions. With a customer service background from my days in retail, as well as Sales Support and Account Management in the IT Industry, I value relationship building with the People at Tecala and our clients.

I am passionate about personal development and leadership. My favourite way to pass the time on the train to work is to read books and articles about leading in all aspects of life. If you are looking for me on the weekend, you’ll find me close to home with family and playing a little too much Mario Kart.

Before I came to Tecala, I was going onto my 6th year working in a very well-paying job as a security officer. One day I had an epiphany and decided to pursue a career in IT. I seized the first opportunity I could get, but it took one whole year and two companies later to finally discover a place that I love. I felt accepted from day one in Tecala and, even crazier, I realised that I had improved my skills in just one week at Tecala compared to the months I had worked in my previous company.
