Sherran Evans

General Manager, Finance & Business Operations

When it comes to having a brilliantly organised business, we believe there’s no better. And that’s come from one place: Sherran. Having an intimate knowledge of the breadth and depth of our business, it’s her insights and skills that have built our systems from the ground up. Add to that her genuine people-touch and a personal ethos of treating her team as she would want them to treat her, and you’ve characterised her way of doing things. In short, she’s the logistical linchpin of our business.

Practical, honest and energetic, with a ‘what you see is what you get’ style, Sherran’s a life-long learner. She personally dives into any challenge she’s presented with, while her team-based ideology has shaped vast areas of our business – finance, admin, sales support, governance, risk management, as well as people and culture – into efficient, customer-focused support vehicles. Committed to achieving brilliant outcomes, her foresight and can-do attitude has got us around many tight corners, as have the people she’s empowered to adapt and grow as fast as we do.

Having joined us in 2008, Sherran has grown with the business. Armed with a Bachelor of Business and MBA, she is as skilled at designing, building, and implementing processes as she is at getting things done. Sherran has delivered, and in doing so, she has risen to become our General Manager – Finance & Business Operations (2016). Sherran now epitomises our ability to thrive on constant change. It’s true to say that her dedicated contribution to our success lays not only in building rigor around our processes, but also in inspiring her teams to ensure they provide the exceptional, seamless support that our deep client relationships demand.

Before I came to Tecala, I was going onto my 6th year working in a very well-paying job as a security officer. One day I had an epiphany and decided to pursue a career in IT. I seized the first opportunity I could get, but it took one whole year and two companies later to finally discover a place that I love. I felt accepted from day one in Tecala and, even crazier, I realised that I had improved my skills in just one week at Tecala compared to the months I had worked in my previous company.
