The road to Tecala

Gaining over 17 years of experience in the Information Technology sector, across multiple industries and organisations of varying sizes, has allowed me to develop a deep and broad level of expertise and industry certifications.

IT is forever changing and provides those interested with an unlimited ability to learn and develop. At Tecala, growth in both technical and professional areas are valued priorities and actively encouraged. Combining these experiences has enabled me to continue to focus on the areas that I believe bring the most value to our customers

Why I joined Tecala

I joined Tecala as throughout the interview process, the level of passion about customers, technology and business concepts around enabling work-life balance, was second-to-none. Always looking after their people, and ensuring Tecala remains as a leading Australian business was a culture that I wanted to be a part of.

My growth with Tecala

For the first 5 years, I held the position of Senior Consultant. The role allowed me to focus on a handful of customers and to deeply understand their business needs. Assisting in the development of the Tecala Strategic Roadmap has unlocked a deep understanding of our clients’, which results in a true alignment in our partnerships.

I now hold the new position of Cyber Security Manager, which allows me to focus on security-based strategic roadmaps and ensure our customers are protected against the litany of threats in today’s connected world.

What inspires me

Understanding business requirements, pain points, inefficiencies and security risks, and ultimately turning these into IT solutions that enable business growth, empowering all involved to reach successful outcomes drives my passions at work.

A proud achievement

Receiving feedback from a customer saying “they felt like we were part of their business and that Tecala knows their business needs as well, if not better than them”.  Further commenting that “we have redefined the idea of partnership in their minds”,  has got to be up there!

My values

I am passionate about technology and how it can solve many problems. Some would describe me as a workaholic, a voice of reason and trustworthy. I value true partnerships with our customers, and I excessively strive for success in everything we do.

Who am I outside of work

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, where that time is spent matters very little. When I have the opportunity, I enjoy travelling and seeing what the world offers. I have been fortunate to experience a few new cultures already and can’t wait for the next adventure. I enjoy skiing, movies and anything outside of a computer when I’m not working.
