Tecala gains Microsoft Azure Peering Service approval

Connect to the cloud quicker, easier and more securely with Tecala’s Azure peering

With Microsoft Azure Peering Service Tecala is extending our capability to execute multi-cloud and hybrid cloud strategies for our customers in Australia.

The Azure Peering Service is a networking service that enhances customer connectivity to Microsoft cloud services – from Office 365 to Azure – via the public Internet.

Globally, Microsoft is partnering with ISPs, Internet exchanges and MSPs to improve connectivity with its public cloud services.

At Tecala we already provide a suite of networking services to connect customers to our own virtual data centre services in public facilities, such as Equinix and NextDC. From there, customers can benefit from either direct connections or peering into public clouds, including Azure and AWS.

We can connect you to our network core and provide other services like WAN Internet and load balancing as a service.

Customers reduce network latency and complexity

Peering is ideal for customers without the scale or budget for direct connections. It allows us to extend the Azure network into Tecala over our own virtual private connection and communicate as if it is our own network.

In another benefit for customers, peering reduces the number of hops to and from cloud and you do not have to perform any configuration work.

Peering is an IP service that uses the public internet, it is not a private connectivity product like Azure ExpressRoute or a VPN.

With Azure Peering your business will benefit from:

• Gain the ability to select an MSP partner in their region
• Experience higher reliability and lower latency to and from the cloud
• Get better insights with access to more monitoring and telemetry inside Azure

For added reliability, peering offers both local and geo-redundancy in the event of a problem.

Get the benefits of a multi-cloud MSP

Tecala customers truly enjoy the benefits of engaging with a multi-cloud MSP.

We have the network and cloud expertise available to ensure you are provided with to option to choose the right cloud for the right workload to support better application hosting and business objectives.

The execution of a multi cloud strategy should be seamless and we keep an eye on the peering or direct connection, data ingress and egress, and securing the traffic if it is traversing the public Internet.

Multi-cloud is all about being able to use what you need and move data in between clouds to facilitate a best-of-breed architecture and avoid cloud lock-in.

Customers can take advantage of Azure peering today and no technical work is required.
