Tecala wins the 2021 ARN Tech Innovation Award for Security

Tecala, Australia’s award-winning technology services and IT consulting provider, wins the ARN Innovation Award 2021 for its Cyber Security practice.

Tecala is delighted to announce its recent success at the ARN Innovation Awards, being named the winner of the Tech Innovation – Security Award.

The award comes at the end of a highly successful year, in which Tecala also received recognition as one of the world’s premier Cyber Security-focused MSPs on the Channel Futures Elite Security list for 2021.

Now in its fifteenth year, The ARN Innovation Awards are the market-leading awards program for celebrating ecosystem innovation and excellence across the technology sector in Australia. This year the event brought together more than 700 attendees at the International Convention Centre in Sydney.

The Innovation in Security Award was in recognition of Tecala’s implementation of a range of security products and services for one of Australia’s leading NDIS plan managers. The service provider, which has a deep pool of highly sensitive client data, needed a security solution that would relieve it of the day-to-day responsibilities for identifying and responding to threats and incidents in near-real-time, but that would also scale and respond as the business grew and its security landscape evolved.

Since launching its security practice, Tecala has developed relationships with the world’s leading security product vendors. This has enabled the business to augment its cyber security practice and offer organisations a powerful, all-in-one cyber security service which detects, disrupts, and remediates known and unknown cyber threats.

As one of Australia’s leading MSPs, Tecala’s Managed Security Services extend to security operations, compliance, remediation, risk, and identity management, along with data protection capabilities focused on rapid recovery from cryptography-based threat vectors, which are delivered through its backup-as-a-service offering.

These services include 24/7 Security Operations Centre support from live cyber security analysts and elite threat hunters. They’re supported via automated disruptions with proactive security network effects delivered by the industry’s most powerful Extended Detection and Response (XDR) cloud platform. Tecala clients in Australia and New Zealand also benefit from security operations leadership to drive analysis, investigation, and complete response to security events.

Commenting on the award, Pieter DeGunst, Managing Director at Tecala Group said:

“We’ve deliberately avoided developing a security practice that focuses on audit, governance and risk because there are plenty of experts in the industry already who can do that work, and do it well. Instead, our approach to cyber security is holistic and with a business-outcomes focus. It’s led by a team of consultants, solutions architects, and security analysts who are accredited by all the major security vendors, as well as educated in security standards and certifications. As an end-to-end service, we can ensure we always deliver the right outcome, with maximum return on investment for our clients.”

This award bookends a highly successful year for Tecala. Earlier in 2021, it was recognised as one of the world’s premier cyber security-focused MSPs on the Channel Futures Elite Security-Focused MSPs list for 2021. It was also ranked as the Number 1 Mid-Market MSP in the 2021 Channel Futures MSP 501 rankings for the second year running.

As an end-to-end (security) service, we can ensure we always deliver the right outcome, with maximum return on investment for our clients.
